Minhah eve of Hanukah
- Regular without Tahanunim
Hanukah
'Arbit
- Regular, before the 'Amidah announce: "Omerim 'al Hanissim"
- After Kaddish Titkabbal, the Hazzan lights the Hanukah placed
on the south wall. He recites the three berakhot as on p. 363.
Followed by "Hanerot Hallalu." Psalm 30 is recited while the
Hazzan returns to the Tebah.
Shahrit of Hanukah
- Regular. On p. 32 the first verse of Psalm 30 is recited.
- The shirah is sung.
- In the 'Amidah we add 'Al Hanissim.
- after the Hazara, we recited immediately the full Hallel
followed by Kaddish Le'ela.
- The Sefer Torah is taken out as on regular weekdays and we
read from Parashat Naso.
- Three persons are called to the Torah.
- After the Torah, Kaddish.
- Recite Ashre and Uba Letsion followed by Kaddish Titkabbal.
- After we return the Sefer Torah, the Hazan, Parnas and
Accompagan remain in front of the open Hekhal and we recite
psalm 30 followed by Kaddish.
- The Hazan then starts Kaveh El Amonai while returning to the
Tebah.
- En Kelohenu is chanted to the special
Hanukah melody.
- The rest of the service is as usual.
Minhah of Hanukah
- Regular without Pitum Haketoret.
- Include Al Hanissim in the Amidah
Arbit of Hanukah
- Regular
- Include Al Hanissim in the Amidah
- Light the Menorah after Kaddish Titkabbal.
SHABBAT AND HANUKAH
Minhah eve of Shabbat and Hanukah
Regular as every Friday.
Include Al Hanissim in the Amidah
At the conclusion of Minhah, the Hazzan goes to the Menorah and
lights it. The choir will chant the responses. He recites Psalm 30 on
the way back to the Tebah.
Shabbat eve and Hanukah
- The next Hazzan announces the Mitzvot for the Zemirot and
Haftarah.
- Kabbalat Shabbat and Arbit are regular except that the
Kaddish is a special
Hanukah melody.
- We announce "Omerim Al Hanissim" before the Amidah.
- The Yigdal is not to the special
Hanukah melody.
Shahrit Shel Shabbat and Hanukah
- Zemirot are started with "Tehillat" to the special Hanuka
tune.
- "Amonai Melekh" is chanted to the special Hanukah tune also.
- The 1st half of the Kaddish preceding Barekhu in special
Hanukah melody is introduced from "Haboher Beshire.” The 2nd
half is in the Festive melody.
- The rest as regular Shabbat.
- In the Amidah we include Al Hanissim.
- After the 'Amidah we start the FULL Hallel with LiGHmor et
Hahallel. The melodies of Hallel are both the special
Hanukah
melody and the festive melody.
- After the Hallel, Kaddish Titkabbal.
Sefer Torah
- Two Sifre Torah:
a- Mikkets or Vayyesheb.
b- Maftir is the day of Hanukkah.
- Recite the Kaddish after each Sefer Torah.
- At the end of Mashlim and before the Mi Sheberakh, recite the
Kaddish.
- While the 2nd Sefer Torah is placed on the reader's desk and
while the 1st one is removed, we sing "Elokim Tseba-ot."
- Recite the Kaddish after the 2nd Sefer Torah and "En Ka-el
Yeshurun" while the 2nd Sefer Torah is removed.
- Yehi Hasdekha by the next Hazzan.
- Sifre Torahs are returned, as usual.
Mussaf
- Include Al Hanissim in the Mussaf
- En Kelohenu melody is special to
Hanukah
- Adon Olam's melody is festive.
Minhah of Shabbat and Hanukah
- Minhah is as indicated in book.
- We recite al Hanissim in the Amida.
- no Hashkabot, no Tsidkatekha and no Pessukim.
Arbit Motsae Shabbat and Hanukah
- Regular, include Al Hanissim in the Amidah.
- After the Amidah say Yehi Shem, Kaddish, Shubah, Veata
Kaddosh and Kaddish Titkabbal.
- The Hazzan then lights the Hanukkah Menorah as on other days.
- After he comes back to the Tebah, he recites the Habdalla.
- the rest is regular.

b- Rosh Hodesh (Ubyom HaShabbat) is Mashlim.
C- Maftir is the day of Hanukkah.
- Recite the Kaddish after 2nd and 3rd Sifre Torah only.
- At the end of Mashlim and before the Mi Sheberakh, recite the
Kaddish.
- The 2nd Sefer Torah (Rosh Hodesh) is placed without removing
the 1st one.
- While the 3rd Sefer Torah is placed on the reader's desk and
while the 1st two are removed, we sing "Elokim Tseba-ot."
- Recite the Kaddish after the 3rd Sefer Torah and "En Ka-el
Yeshurun" while the 3rd Sefer Torah is removed.
- The Haftarah is the one for Shabbat and Hanukkah and Rosh
Hodesh
- Yehi Hasdekha by the next Hazzan.

followed by "Hanerot Hallalu." Psalm 30 is recited while the
Hazzan returns to the Tebah.

- On the 1st day of Rosh Hodesh we recite the Perpetual
Hashcabot half an hour earlier before services or earlier if
needed.
- Regular. On p. 32 the first verse of Psalm 30 is recited.

- In the 'Amidah we add Ya'aleh Veyaboh and 'Al Hanissim.
- after the Hazara, we recited immediately the full Hallel

Hodesh and from the 2nd from Parashat Naso.

- The fourth reads from Naso.
- After the 2nd Torah, Kaddish Le'elah.
- Recite Ashre and Uba Letsion. (No Kaddish at this point).
- We then remove the Tephillin and start Musaf of Rosh Hodesh
and including "al Hanissim."
- After Musaf the Hazzan recites Kaddish Titkabbal.
- We then read psalm 104, Barekhi Nafshi followed by psalm 30,
Mizmor shir Hanukat Habayit.
- The Hazan then recites Kaddish Yehe Shealmah.
The Hazzan then starts Kaveh El Amonai.
- En Kelohenu is chanted to the special
Hanukkah melody.
- The rest of the service is as usual.
